2. Software modes. Camera-based security recording and auto-presenting handles create friction while the car is strapped down. Turning them off, and enabling transport mode so the wheels roll freely, makes loading straightforward.
3. Weight. The battery pack makes a Model Y a few hundred pounds heavier than a similar gasoline crossover. Carriers plan loads around weight limits, so the exact year and trim matter when you book.
